I Got Your Back!

had this crazy dream
Brian: sup
me: there was this kid I knew back in the days, he was older but a big dbag, hardcore player, always used people, fake hard core kid, rich parents, and all this stuff.

but he was cool with friends and stuff
and in my dream I stole his girl hahaha
and he threatened to get me jumped and get all his boys
and you were the first one to hear bout it and get my back son!
I was walkin with my girl and you were all hyped up walkin way in front of me
and the whole time I saw this kid gettin a bunch of his boys to look for me
and it was epic. by the end of the dream we were bout to rumble and I had a ton of my boys iwth me, it was so excite
but you were the first dude to get my back!!

Hate to love this song, but its dope and Pusha T is the man.
I also realized how much I like the song Like a G6. Dope beat! I gotta go dance again, it's been too long.
Snow day but the roads weren't bad down 23, so I was crazy productive. Went on a little bit of a shopping spree (sale items only) and got a ton of homework done and finished half of a video I shot on Sunday. Good stuff.
On a totally separate note, I hope that one day I realize how much my parents sacrificed for our family. Things must've been so different and harder back then but they always made things so easy. They always provided more than enough for us, and still do. Man I love them.

Alumni Day
So today was Alumni Day at the school, a day where former students in their 1-4th years at college, come back and talk to some of the classes about their college experience and how(if) West Milford HS helped prepare them for college.
It's a great experience for the students for sure, and today was productive for the classes that I had alumni visit.
The thing that made this day awesome was that I saw so many former students, and so many of them talked about how much they missed my class and how it really helped them in college! I hear that pretty often, but sometimes I'd wonder how much they meant it... but it just felt so genuine and it was great hearing it from the alumni today!
One girl, whom I thought maaaybe sometimes thought my class was a joke, actually told me how much my class helped her in college. She told me that she was the nerd of her class because she knew all of the terminology that I taught her and her professor was surprised and impressed! She went on to tell me that my class was the reason she found what she wanted to do with her future! Sometimes that really scares me, hah, but to see how genuinely excited and happy she was made me so glad to have helped her with her decision.
Another student (who isn't majoring in communication/production) stopped by a few times and just kept telling me how much she really missed my class and how great it was and all of that. It was so rewarding!
Then after school a couple former students stopped by - one of them wasn't my student, he just always came by in one of his free times and we'd chill, talk, and listen to music the entire period. It was great being able to just talk to them and see how they respected me then and still do!
I really love being able to make a positive impact on peoples lives. God helped me find the perfect job for me, and I pray that he continues to mold me into a better person and educator!
